Deleting your ProLyft account

Last updated: 11 September 2026

1. About this page

This page explains how to delete your ProLyft account and exactly what happens to your data when you do. The app is ProLyft, operated by MuscleHealth OÜ, a company registered in Estonia under registry code 17596698, which is also the controller of your personal data; you can reach us at support@prolyftapp.com. Depending on the store you download from, ProLyft may be listed under a different seller name; the company named above is the operator in every case. You can delete your account from inside the app in about ten seconds — the steps are in section 2. If you cannot open the app, section 3 has an email route.

2. How to delete your account in the app

Open ProLyft and sign in. Tap the Profile tab, then the settings icon in the top-right corner. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen, to the danger zone, and tap “Delete Account”. Confirm twice — the app asks once, then asks “Are you sure?” — and it is done. There is no form to fill in and no request to wait for: you are signed out straight away, your sign-in sessions are revoked, nothing further can be written to the account, and your profile stops appearing to other users in search.

3. If you cannot open the app

Email support@prolyftapp.com from the address the account uses and ask us to delete it. We check that the address matches the account and then delete it for you, and the same 7-day restore window described in section 4 starts from that moment. We handle these requests by hand and will respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. Use the same address if you have a question about a deletion already under way.

4. The 7-day restore window

Deletion is not final from the first second: for 7 days the account can be brought back. Sign in again with the same credentials inside those 7 days and the app offers “Restore account”; accept and everything is exactly as you left it. Do nothing, and once the seventh day has passed a job that runs once a day, at 03:40 UTC, deletes the account permanently — in practice that completes within 24 hours of the window closing. After that nothing can be restored, by you or by us, and signing in will tell you the account no longer exists.

5. What is deleted

When the 7 days are up, the account record itself is deleted from our authentication system and the database removes everything attached to it: your profile (name, username, nickname, date of birth, gender, body weight and height, preferences and settings), your profile picture file, your whole training history — workouts, sets, reps, loads, RPE, durations, distances and your notes — your personal records, streaks, achievements, custom exercises, routines, training programmes and schedules, your saved library items and favourites, your non-gym activities, and your follows, follow requests and blocks. Your email address goes with the account, and the public link to your profile picture stops working. We keep no shadow copy for our own use, and none of this is sold, shared with advertisers or used to profile you.

6. What is kept, and for how long

Six things outlive the account, and that is the whole list. Reports of abuse you filed about someone else remain, with the reason, the time and the moderation outcome — but your identity and anything you wrote in them are erased at the same moment, because a report about another person's behaviour must not vanish just because you left. (Reports filed about you are deleted with your account.) Purchase records belong to Apple and Google, who are the merchants of record for every subscription: they hold the transaction under their own policies and the tax law that requires it, we cannot erase it for you, and you should ask the store directly. RevenueCat, the processor that tells us which subscription your account holds, keeps its own record of those store events against your account identifier; it never receives your email address, your body metrics or your training data, and the Privacy Policy describes it in section 11. Accounting records that Estonian law requires us to keep are kept for seven years. If you have written to support, we keep that correspondence while we deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. And residual copies may persist in our encrypted backups for a short period before those backups are overwritten; they are not used for anything and are not restored into the live service.

7. Data on your own phone

ProLyft saves your training to the device first and syncs it to the cloud afterwards, so there is a copy on your phone. Signing out or deleting the account clears that local copy, with one deliberate exception: if something has not finished syncing, the app keeps the local database rather than destroying a workout that exists nowhere else. Nothing left on the device is ever shown to a different account signing in on the same phone, and uninstalling the app removes it. Backups you make of the phone itself are outside our control.

8. Deleting individual records instead

You do not have to delete the whole account to remove something. A workout, exercise or routine you delete in the app disappears immediately and is permanently erased from our database by a daily job 30 days later. You can also clear your body metrics in your profile at any time, which withdraws your consent for that data. Anything else about deletion or about your data: support@prolyftapp.com. The Privacy Policy sets out every retention period in full.
